Jenni Robertson – Practice Manager & Head Veterinary Nurse.
How long have you been working with us at Dignity?

Tilehurst, Reading.
Tell us a bit about you and your team.
We are a small general practice that consists of two Full Time Vets, one Part Time Vet, two Registered Nurses, a Student Nurse, four Animal Care Assistants and five Client Care Assistants. We opened in 2017 and over that time, we put together a team of wonderful people who are genuine, caring and more of a family than workmates. This has become evident over the time as situations arise when true colours shine through.
“My team put in the extra yards when they are needed, especially when dealing with emotional situations like the loss of a loved one.”
What services do you offer?
We are a GP practice. In the practice, we can offer Inhouse Laboratory Testing, Ultrasound and Radiography, as well as Blood Pressure Monitoring, Cruciate Surgery, Dentistry, Digital X-Ray, Fracture Repair, Health Plans, separate dog and cat Hospital Wards, Isolation Unit & Keyhole Surgery.
We also offer Microchipping, Nurse Clinics, Nutritional Advice, Orthopaedics with two highly regarded companies, Prescriptions, Soft Tissue Surgeries, and Weight Clinics to help dogs and cats achieve optimal weights – both if they have been under or overweight.
How long has your practice been open?
The doors opened in March 2017.
What’s unique about your Veterinary Practice?
We are a group of people who take pride in caring for not only our patients, but our clients too. Our amazing client care advisors are all simply brilliant, and go above and beyond to make your experience with us the best it can be. Taking the time to remember our clients and their pets, being caring and never treating anyone like just another number makes such a difference to the client experience.
We try really hard to make sure that nobody feels like they are being rushed in and out. Therefore, we offer 20 minute consults, giving that extra bit of time to make sure the vets can do as much as they can for each patient who comes through the doors. Knowing just how hard everyone is finding the cost of living at the moment, our aim is to offer the best treatment for the patient for the best price.
Every single person on our team genuinely cares for each and every patient we see. We have a dedicated Kennel Nurse who spends time, not only monitoring and medicating our inpatients, but giving as much TLC as they can take. Our patient’s mental health is so important to us, so we try our best to make their experience as stress free as possible.
“Most importantly, we treat you and your pet with the utmost respect.”
What is your favourite part of your job?
I love being able to give my team a chance to bring a part of themselves into the practice. I get to handpick my team which means I can offer our clients genuine people who want to be a part of offering the best care and experience. Managing people who want to be there makes my job great, I quite often smile to myself watching them work together so well as a team.
