What is a Biotree Urn

Biotree urns are designed to store your pet’s ashes while also growing a tree in their memory. The urn itself is made of bamboo, plant fibres and natural binding agents. Once prepared and placed into the ground the Biotree Urn will provide the ideal environment to grow a tree.

How to use your Biotree Urn

  1. Remove all the contents from the base of the Biotree Urn.
  2. Add 800ml of water to the top of the Biotree Urn,the soil disc will expand to fill the top of the Biotree Urn with soil.
  3. Once the top of the Biotree Urn is filled with soil plant your chosen seed species or sapling.
  4. Place the ashes of your pet in the base of the Biotree Urn and plant the urn to ground level.
  5. The Biotree Urn and ashes are returned to nature as the tree grows, giving back to nature.
  6. Celebrate life by writing an online memorial for your loved one and geo-tagging the location of your Biotree Urn.

Creating a lasting memorial to your pet with a Geotag

Each Biotree Urn comes with a Geotag code so that you can create a digital memorial to your pet for others to enjoy. Once your Geotag memorial is live, you can see it on this lovely map on the Biotree website, which shows the locations, messages and even the effect the trees are having on the carbon footprint.
