We have used Dignity’s services on two occasions. Firstly, for our 14 year old Labrador Bonnie and three years ago for our beloved German Shepherd Suki. We had them both cremated and their ashes returned to us at home.
Bonnie, our Golden Labrador, who was rescued from Binfield Dog Rescue was very loving and totally devoted to my husband. Our vet recommended Dignity and so she was collected from them and their customer service was superb; nothing was too much trouble and they took care of all of our needs. We chose to have the two day service and her ashes are in an oak picture frame which my husband collected from Dignity.
Our German Shepherd, Suki, was one day short of her 12th birthday when she died. She was a “Mummy’s girl” and was very loving and protective. She loved everything; people, children and even cats! She also enjoyed going on holiday each year; if Suki couldn’t go then we didn’t. Because of our previous experience with Bonnie, we had no hesitation calling on Dignity when the time came to say goodbye to Suki. She was collected from our home with the utmost care and cremated with her favourite toy. Most of her ashes were put in a picture frame and some were kept separate so we could put them under her favourite tree in the garden which she took to from day one. We had the two day service for Suki and once again the customer service team were excellent. We were due to collect her ashes from Dignity but there had been a heavy snowstorm so Kevin very kindly delivered them to us himself.
There are no words that can express the care, friendliness and thoughtfulness that Dignity shows towards not only one’s beloved pet but also the very sad “Mum and Dad” they leave behind. We were made to feel very special as the family of our beloved pets and can say they are a very caring company. Thank goodness for people like Dignity – they make the death of a beloved pet easier to cope with.
