We are delighted to announce that we have raised £900 from our charity Christmas Tree. We raised a total of £829.50, selling 307 personalised decorations. The tree looked beautiful and we were able to read the names of the pets really clearly. Thank you to Jo from the Crafty Robin who made them all for us.
We have added an additional £70.50 to round the total up to £900 and we are delighted to send £90 to 10 of our charities. We chose the charities out of our 42 charities using a randomiser, and this is the winners list:
1. Chimney Farm Dog Rescue
2. Wheek & Squeak Guinea Pig Rescue
3. Helping Dogs & Cats UK Rescue
4. Guide Dogs
5. Home & Abroad Animal Welfare
6. Hounds for Heroes
7. RSPCA Hants & Surrey Border Branch
8. Hugletts Wood Farm
9. Herbie Hedgehog Rescue
10. Battersea
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our clients who purchased a Christmas Decoration enabling us to support these amazing animal charities. You can view the full list of animal charities we support here.
Kevin Spurgeon said: “We regularly raise money for animal charities through the wishing well here in the Dignity grounds, but the Christmas tree allows our clients to pay tribute to pets that they have lost. We have an extremely generous group of followers who not only want to support to our chosen charities, but also wish to remember their beloved pets.”
At Dignity, we are proud of our ethics, which is one of our core values. In 2014, Kevin was given an honorary fellowship by the University of Winchester for the commitment to running Dignity with ethics and compassion. Supporting charities is one such example and we currently support 42 different animal charities through our wishing well.
